TCAT Henry/Carroll collects 14 medals at SkillsUSA Tennessee’s State Leadership and Skills Conference
Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) Henry/Carroll students collected 14 medals, including seven gold medals, at the SkillsUSA Tennessee State Leadership and Skills Conference.
The event was held March 15-18 at the Chattanooga Convention Center and was supported by more than 500 industry professionals, technical chairs, judges, and volunteers. All featured expertise, ensuring that competitions reflected real-world expectations and industry standards.
Residential Building Maintenance Instructor Allen Ashlock was honored with the State Director’s Service Award, while Human Resources Coordinator Sherry Wilson was named Staff Member of the Year. TCAT Henry/Carroll was also honored as a member of the Chapters of Excellence Program.
SkillsUSA’s Tennessee State Leadership and Skills Conference emphasized leadership development through professional skills training, student engagement and opportunities for participants.
